Astrid Haynes is a member of 8W, attending the same form as Holly, Claire, et al, as featured in other pictures in my Gallery. She is a keen actor, being in a junior drama group from a very young age. Her ambition is to get into TV and, she hopes, then into movies. Here we see her at MediaCityUK in Manchester, preparing to go into an audition for an upcoming new series to be shown on ITVX about teenagers living in and around Manchester. She hopes to snag one of the main roles but any part will be a foot in the door for her. Her parents are big players behind the scenes (i.e., in the financing) of much British media, and she is hoping that this will help her along the way. In this picture, her mother has driven her to Manchester and will wait outside when Astrid goes into the casting room to do her audition piece.
