Don't be fooled by their appearance and demeanor. They're actually terrified of mice. :P
I know we all use computer software in creating visual images nowadays. In this respect I guess I'm sometimes still a bit old-fashioned in my approach to the visual arts. Drew this long ago during the early or mid 1980s. I meant these dudes to be Martians. :) My idea was that, Mars being the planet of maleness and virility in astrology, one would expect Martians to exhibit such traits as well. Hence this pic. Not exactly Frank Frazetta standard, but what do you expect from a teenager who never had any serious art training? :)

I would say this turned out magnificently for an untrained teenage boi that had fantasies about 'men from Mars!' I don't know if you ever read any of the books about John Carter on Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs but I thought of him looking at this fine image! I am really curious about this one and was wondering how it would look colorized! Just a thought! Many fine praises from me on your 'youthful' artistic endeavors! Bravo to the max my friend! Bravo to the max!!!!!

I actually wasn't thinking of Burroughs' work at the time I drew this pic, but thinking more of astrology and the symphonic suite The Planets by Holst. Still, I leave it to the viewer what he wishes to make of the pic. John Carter, eh? Was he terrified of mice? :D As for colorizing this pic... Hmmmm, I suppose I might try it sometime. (Maybe you can try it, too. ;) )

Who knows what dangers lurk in the hearts of man? The Shadow knows! LOL! I don't know why that old line came to mind, but I placed it here just for fun. I have downloaded this image and just might try my hand at it too! Heaven knows how badly I can likely mess it up (quite unintentionally I assure you) before I either give up with disgust at my woefully inadequate skills or I actually kinda sorta like how it turns out and think about posting it here with all credit due to you magical creative skills! Do we think time will tell? I don't know! I don't think I have ever hear time talk before! LOL!
