Description

I was wanting to achieve a photo-like quality with this image. I was and still am abit unsure over the rather vibrant colors of the Irezumi tattoo's I provided for this piece. I find that the "less is more" style taken with some art work appeals to me and I wanted to convey that in this image. Also, I simply love oriental inspired themes. If you look at some of the old Japanese Master Painters, you can see how they speak elloquently of their desire in but a few brush strokes. All in all, I just hope you like it.

Once again, excellent work. The mood is perfect. I'd like to see the image without the sharpen filter. :) I agree with Xurge about the shadows under the hands and feet. Maybe they can be added in postwork... Keep up the fantastic work...

Very nice image indeed...simple and strongly presented....as for you thoughts on the tatoos i would have to agree....when you added them to your texture i would have faded them slightly in opacity to allow for the skin gradients beneath to show through a little....the other point about tats is the white on them....think that could have been faded out a bit more....white in tatoos has only just become a viable colour...but even so its not white...its a pale skin tone still.....but still stunning work...only giving idea on the tats because you mentioned em....!!

Yeah, the tattoo looks like a colorful shirt. While there is white ink for tattoos, I'd change some of the white to flesh tone, like kirisute suggested. And the shadow under the right hand looks odd. But it's pretty close to perfect! It's hard to believe you go that kind of realism from just a poser render.
