Description
In keeping with my penchant for showcasing test runs of particularly interesting characters (at least to me) I've spun up 3DUK's 'game rip' of Tomb Raider's Amelia Croft. As rendered, she's totally out of the box with the included hair, clothes and accessories. The hair is quite appropriate for the character's vintage, and poses well within limits as it isn't boned or fibre based. In all. a unique and interesting female 'toon inside or out of the TR universe.
Setting is another asset bash...
Not a paid advertisement - just a spin of an interesting character. Amelia is available on Renderhub.

beautiful scene

Thanks brain - the textures, asset grab bag and light was a chore. Lighting seems to be off in DAZ iRay preview - no longer 'what you see is what you get"....

Very lovely character, great scene, and I really like what you have done with the lighting!
jdwtrxk
Thanks Blue. No credit deserved here for the character. The lighting was a little trickier than the old HDRI spinaroo and tilt-a-whirl. DAZ seems to have developed a discrepancy between IRay preview and what shows up in a spin - either that or it's time for a 3090 or two...

I don't know much about DAZ Studio content; I'm assuming this is made out of the Genesis line although it sounds to me like you're describing a "stand alone" character. All that technical foolishness aside, the composition of the scene regarding posing, lighting and environmental detail is excellent. The lighting looks complex, mostly from out of doors but there's clearly a gentle interior light coming from behind her that prevents everything from being brightly lit from the window and darkly shadowed opposite the window (there's a marginal chance that made some sense >.<).
Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed viewing. =)

Thanks Molly - the character is set up for DAZ Genesis 8 - and as she was rendered largely 'out of the box' as a showcase, she was the easy part.
There are indeed soft lights behind her - a point light and the light from an added oil lamp. As always, the settings are the most fun. This one had a bunch of items pulled from here and there with tweaked or added textures, including the Queen Anne musket and a picture above the out of view bed 'stolen' from an original in my foyer. The later suggests I need to go hunting for more art,,,,

Due to circumstances, I have been away from the galleries for almost 28 days and I have not been able to make any comments on your artworks. Now I am here to look at all the beautiful images you have created during this time. They are all beautifully done, now I'll just leave a comment at this one and I also hope to see you again in my little video gallery.
