You have critical and non-critical comments as being welcomed, so here's a critical one...
The SR-71 never flew that low unless it was going to crash. Those MIGs had a ceiling of around maybe 50,000 feet. The SR-71 flew at 80,000 feet. Six miles higher and at speeds of Mach 3.2 or more. During the SR-71's service life NOT ONE was ever shot down. It's a good fantasy image nonetheless.

Thank you for pointing this out. I agree with your opinion.
The first flight of the Mig-17 was in 1950. The SR-71 entered service in 1966. In the late 1960s, it is hard to believe that the Soviet Air Defense Forces, with their newest and most capable fighter planes, were operating Mig-17s. So a series of scenes is impossible.
This is a whole improbable story. But consider, for example, an SR-71 over the Black Sea, which was descending to land at a Turkish base, approached by an old Soviet Air Defense Force fighter in training.
😄 Thank you very much.

I have read of such an encounter. The SR-71 simply accelerated and left the MiGs standing. Great render.

Nice work . I got to see one of the last SR-71's flying when it flew into Robins AFB Georgia to go into their museum . It has to be one of the sexiest planes ever built .

Thanks for your comment. I would also like to see the actual plane. You're so lucky! your valuable experience.

Yeah..... Good luck catching up to that with 17s! Aside from what Enigma-man said.. The SR71 is a legend - and it still flies.
