Description
As described here, Brackton's in Mettleham offers first-job opportunities to 14-year-olds who wish to try out part-time work. (In the UK, it is legal to employ 14-year-olds in light duties, as long as it does not interfere with their school schedules.)
But demand is very high.
In this scene, we see Holly Hewson (only recently turned 13) explaining to Chloe Wilstead (owner of Brackton's) why her name and date of birth should go on the list of youngsters interested in working in the shop so that Chloe can contact her the moment she becomes 14 and eligible to start working there.
