This is a follow up to my NLA Chess Club image. I originally intended to have Janice's glasses give off a translucent effect on the lenses similar to what be seen in some anime. Decided to let her eyes show for my final rendering. Janice is an outstanding chess player, and her normal mousy personality disappears while playing the game. So even though she knows Petunia Wilson AKA Princess is still learning she's not going easy on her. Janice: Come on Petunia we only have so much time left before the school closes for the day. Petunia: I know Janice, just don't rush me. Last time you got checkmate in like two moves! I knew you were good, but it seems like it's impossible to win. Janice: It's possible it's just not easy. Janice sighs as she lifts her glasses and lightly pinches the bridge of her nose Her tone of voice lightens up a bit. Janice: Look Petunia you're one of the strongest kids in school. You also have super speed and flight, right? Petunia: Yeah, but what does that have to do with chess? Janice: When you fly at high speed, you're looking ahead to see what's coming. So, you don't just see you think about where you're going and how to get there. Use your mind to formulate a strategy, you learned the rules which just a glance you learned the rules in no time. Petunia: Isn't that cheating? Janice: No, you're using your mind. Doesn't matter how fast and it's not like you're mind reading.
