I don't normally like or photograph pigeons, but it was such a nice day I figured why not.

it's a beautiful photo! I had never noticed how elegant the pigeon's plumage actually was. I love how the green highlights on the neck shine!

Thanks Marini. I have a hard time getting over seeing pigeons as urban pests. It helps when they're in the park and not your garden. They do indeed have beautiful colouring. Their attraction to humans also makes them very easy subjects to photograph.

Lighting turned out great in this, details came out in the feathers oh so nicely.
