because coffee's nasty!
This was a weird scene to put together. When I added the kitchen, I saw that I could actually shoot through the window, so I said lets do that. Then when I tried to render, the hair I wanted to use looked pretty sparce. So I dropped it and added another. But every hair I added after that would not display in the texture shaded viewport. But it did render in iRay. I also wanted him to have a chain of some sort around his neck. But every chain was off set from his neck and I couldn't move it down. So I nixed that idea.

Thank you so much!

Nonetheless, he is a great looking character! The hair turned out beautifully! A necklace would have been a nice touch! Too bad they wouldn't cooperate with you! Many kudos for this one, my friend!

Thanks, Radar!

Tea for two ... I'll be right there! I agree, coffee is nasty. Jewelry (especially necklaces) is the worst in Poser. I haven't worked in DAZ, but it sounds like you have just as much frustration there! But your end result is gorgeous! Love his pose, it's so casual and comfortable, and moreover, realistic! Gorgeous young dude!

Thanks ricardo719! I spent some time on the pose. I did his legs first and then I thought "Oh, no! He has to lean back and it can't just be with his back. It has to be with his hips too. And of course, that moved the legs. But slowly it came together. I'll set out another cup! :)

MIO, I don't know if DAZ has this setting, but Poser has "Use Inverse Kinematics", that allows you to lock one or both feet, and one or both hands, and then if you use the hip to change the pose, the foot/feet or hand/hands stay locked in position. Then you just turn those off when you finish adapting your pose. Take a look and see if you have that in DAZ. It's been very helpful to me!!!

Thanks for the tip, ricardo! I never thought of using inverse kinematics that way. Will be useful. I'm sure I've seen it somewhere in Daz. It is off by default, I think.
Always thought of IK as mostly an annoyance, and would turn it off in Poser. But now I see it has some valid uses.
Thanks.

ah that's the way a scene happens, lol.. you plan sth, but in the end everything comes together differently! shooting through the window was an excellent idea, makes the render really special. nice posing, seems relaxed and casual. good job! ^^

You have spent a lot of time setting this scene up perfectly!
