Image generator: Dream by WOMBO (the free online version at dream.ai) Prompt: "human figure made from branches" Style: "VFX v2" (Those are the details for just the first two piccys. Other styles weren't so good - e.g. third picture, same prompt but Buliojourney v2) I've been trying unsuccessfully since I did my first unTolkienesque "Hooom" Wombos (10 March 2023) to get it to produce something approaching my idea of a tree spirit. It needed to be recognisably human in shape, but not too human, with green or bark coloured skin, and should partially merge with normal trees The fourth picture was definitely the closest I ever got - "woman turning into a moss and ivy covered tree" using Soft Touch. It was one of the first pictures that Wombo spat out for that prompt, so I got quite excited. But a couple of hours, tweaks to the prompt, different styles, and maybe a few hundred pictures) later I was rather frustrated - nothing even came close. Maybe I should learn to do proper art myself ? Nah, too much like hard work. So press on. Try a different approach. something like "green woman with leaves and branches" The first problem that I had was that the only styles that seemed to consistently produce green skin when asked were ones that rarely produce anything to my taste (e.g. Buliojourney v2). If I tried to make green skin with the styles I liked it just didn't work - the clothing and hair turned green instead, but the skin stayed skin coloured. If I tried to get Wombo to cover the figure with ivy and moss it did wonders with the clothing and hair, but ,ostly avoided the skin, especially the face. I did have a couple of partial successes where an arm or leg merged into a tree, but they were rare one offs However, when Twiggy the stick lady turned up in her sticky (as in made of sticks) swimsuit/bodystocking, I had a change of plan. Forget about the tree spirit and do some fun elfy-type armour. And then they made VFX v2 premium...
