Description

Well if somebody like this becomes a friend you have to get pictures! A New Yorker of my acquaintance said if you saw this scene in New York it would not be the strangest thing you could see, is he right? At last something that isn't just a test render! I haven't been here much lately, or anywhere else online either. I've had a catalogue of medical problems which are finally abating. At the end of 2021 I injured my left shoulder, which almost completely deprived me of any use of my left arm for the rest of that year and all of 2022. The shoulder is finally healing properly and I am now expected to recover the full use of the left arm. Great news! Having only one functional arm is unpleasant, especially if you're used to having two arms working. January of this year (2023) I had long overdue surgery on my left leg, and that has healed completely. But after the operation I was unsteady on my feet for a while and as a result in February I had a fall down a long flight of concrete steps which injured joints in both arms and both legs. So I currently have to use a walking stick to get around and I go shopping for food almost every day because I can't carry very much. Other permanent conditions becoming worse means I am frequently deprived of sleep, so making art or commenting on it is much harder than it should be. I have visited the galleries here and on other sites and looked, but often trying to think of anything to say just leaves me blank at the moment. Things are expected to get better again, and I really hope that prediction turns out to be correct. Anyway, I wish every body well, wish me well in recovery, and let's try and make 2023 better for all of us than 2022 was.

I can just hear it said by a New Yorker....

"'Eyyy, it's New York! You'll see everything here!" 😂 This is excellent! I still haven't played with Blender yet, but am hoping to have things calm down once we get moved to a different place.

Damn... Sounds like you've had a hell of a year, mate! It makes all the crap going on here look like very minor annoyances at worst. At least everything on this old body still works. I'm sending all my wishes for a rapid recovery and return to excellent health, good sir!

I haven't been here either, for much the same reasons, not to mention having to start from scratch again. At least I snagged a decent laptop last year, and have my own digs.

STOP FALLING DOWN STAIRS!

Yeah, falling down the steps was a one off and for the rest of my day I will be extra careful on steps, just like getting hit by a car in 1982 and spending nine months in hospital made me far more careful crossing the road than most people. I hope you do get started again. You know to get started you only have to make one image, right?
