Render Engine: Cycles
This did not come out quite as well as I wanted. I tried many variations and just could not find the right lighting. This was the best out of 4 attempts.

Amazing ! I saw the tool True Terrain its really great, right now i do my environment with the Standard function from Blender and think about how to do the textures more variant - this week i try to copy a base texture and paint with other textures on it ... i hope it works ... fantastic work by the way

Thanks for your comment: True Terrain is a fantastic tool for creating landscapes. It makes things faster but not so easy initially, there is still a lot of things to learn about it. I have done a couple of procedural landscapes before I ended up buying True Terrain, True Sky and additional height maps. One of the best parts of True Terrain are its assets, such as vegetation and rocks etc. The plants and trees can be animated as well. I will eventually get around to doing a small animation someday.

Thanks for the comment. Just updated blender and got the updated True Sky 2.1 addon for True Terrain. It has some awesome features for nighttime sky's stars and nebula. Going to have fun with that.
