Matt Dog, editor of the Daily Bark, wasn't very happy with his reporters. The original mock up of the evening edition featured a story of a brave little puppy who'd saved his fellow puppies when the driver of their bus, ol' Mac Doggle, fell asleep at the wheel. It was a nice story and showed that puppies were more than just cute rolly polly balls of fur but it had nothing on the breaking news. You see the Dam Cat, who worked at Waterbowl Dam and Power, had a hairball problem and he hid it from his employers, Drink and Power, in the power generators! The hairballs had eventually gummed up the works, and burned out the generators causing a major statewide power outtage that lasted for over 12 hours as Drink and Power brought in new generators. Dam Cat was arrested and charged with malicious property damage. It is believed the prosecution will ask for house confinement and a cone of shame until the problem is dealt with.
