I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

I agree, AI art is the antithesis of art as it steals the work from hard working artist with no regard to copyright. Not to mention it can not benefit the 3d artist that sale their work here and anywhere else. I too was thinking of just leaving this site, still debating it.

This is fabulous looking image. Lovely and humorous character, she looks great. Love her T-shirt and the background is outstanding.
Keep creating what brings you joy!

For my view of your fine works Rodcis AI " Always Impressive " Yeah AI is overwhelming this site. Yes, poser, daz, photoshop, and other software that renders mountains, trees, landscapes etc.
I only commented on a few of artists i know.
Love her shirt and positive message.

Stunning image, excellent rendering, superb lighting and background 👍🙋♂️I agree with you about excessive AI imaging

Hi Rod, sorry to say it, but i don't have anything against 'enhancements' artificial or otherwise. Tried that 'AI' stuff but it's not for me. It's been a wile that i posted something, had a heart attack as a new years gift i'm still a bit down and without any inspiration for doing something in Daz. But i'm trying. I a positive note, i'm losing weight and getting in to shape (slowly).

Wow, sorry to read that! I hope you continue to improve, just remember to take it slowly, my friend! Sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.
Yeah, I played with MidJourney a while back, until it wanted money. I'd rather do my own creating - it's a lot more fun and satisfying.
Radar_rad-dude
Well, it is nice to have the real thing too! LOL! Wonderful message and image, Rod!

Great pic. Love the shirt!!

That's one sure way to draw attention to the message. I really like how she blends with the photo and her shadow corresponds to the shadows in the photo.
shadelix
Well, she didn't draw enough attention running around like that. Otherwise the place would have been a lot more crowded. LOL! Good work! And I agree that AI should be posted in another forum, not here in a 3D forum or gallery.

The background photo hooked me, as I have become accustomed to not seeing through pedestrians, nor having some animal desires :)
A I is another art form, as is photography ... the house continues, with a different "story" for each and all tenants, decided by supporting efforts. In this age of "media madness", true art rather than mass quantity should be a goal for all in any effort.
Our photography could differ considerably from a primary focus of Renderosity, and I personally appreciate an opportunity to share my versions of "art", regret having no time to learn your procedures for creating interesting stories amidst the chaos (but learning too much about it lately)
Be well and prosper

Well, that's certainly a good place to post a message if you want it to be seen! Nicely done, and have fun with your friends.

For me, the biggest caveat for AI art is its use in deepfakes - and news outlets treating them as real. Case in point:

That is pretty damn scary... And it's only the beginning.. "Don't believe anything you hear, and only about half of what you see..."

She's got a great message and I'm certainly glad you have decided to stay with us as an artist. AI tents to make a mess of things, as you are most likely aware, because AI has no soul or reflection of a real, human artist's expertise. Real art by real humans wins.
tetrasnake
Absolutely fantastic work.
And I wholeheartedly agree. To me AI art is not art. I put myself in everything I create, weather it be through my photography, Poser (DAZ now), Photoshop, or my sketches back in the day. To me, AI seems soulless and has no imagination to it.

Humans doing miserable jobs for minimum wage while robots do poetry and painting is NOT the future we want.
Background and figure harmonizing wonderful together. Excellent work, my friend.

So pleased to see you posting Rod! This is work of the highest calibre and a real pleasure to view!

No comment, neither positive nor negative, you know why I do AI, when I've used up my finished ones, there are 3d's again and my $20 are gone, but your image looks fantastic! 👍

I do know why, and I mentioned it wasn't meant for those using due to health / vision problems. So you're in the clear, Sis! 😁

I feel your pain! Good message, stay strong my friend, I have hope our human art can survive these messy times!

This image certainly gave me a chuckle. XD
It looks like you brought your Poser Girl into a photograph and I appreciate how much attention to detail you put into getting the position of the sun right so her shadow fell nicely on the shadow plane in a realistic way.
As for your text rant, I've nothing against AI, Rod, but it's not for me. Frankly, it's not for many of the people who use it, either. They spit out images that are surprisingly similar and while often pretty the don't feel like the artist was working from inspiration. I suspect that since it's so easy to do many people just don't think much about what they're doing. Some, like Ute, 1971s, Cybertenko and Ken1171_Designs obviously think a lot about their prompts and produce images that stand above a lot of the AI imagery I've seen. Here's the thing: no matter what the medium, Sturgeon's law applies so it's not surprising that a lot of the AI is crap. We'll see how things progress but it's pretty pointless to rage at change so I'm trying to figure out where AI fits for teh Mollz. =)

I do like what I see, but don't agree with the message. Not everyone uses A.I. the same way or for the same reasons. A.I. is not just software making an image. While that is part of it, it does require a certain amount or creativity on the artist/writer to create a prompt to replicate one's vision. Sometimes happy accidents occur and complete surprises. One can use AI on its own or use it to augment any PS, vue, Poser, DAZ image and more. It's excellent for a background needed for video or a DAZ or Poser figure. My final word is there is no stopping it and this is a case where learning about the different forms of AI is a journey where you might find something that works for you. People over use DAZ and Poser for redundant images too. That said, we all have opinions and we can all move to a different beat. I'll always support one's first amendment rights. At this point it may be better energy spent by watching to see what kind of regulations and laws may have to be formed to protect people from false presentations like Trump as a hero of Obama as villain. Hate speech and defamation is not protected the same way under the first amendment, so bill/law makers are going to have to start to consider these things. All new technology is a double edged sword. This is not a rant to say you're wrong, you're not, just an ask to look at something from another perspective.

Great image, Rod. I agree with you about the AI generated stuff. There probably should be a seperate gallery on Renderosity for all the AI art. It has really flooded out the main gallery.
