Description
I have admired so many artists in my life and, certainly, many since beginning 3d art in 2005. It has taken me almost 20 years to really be proud of my art. I see what I have learned in those years. I see that 3d art is not going to come easily for me.
I just learned I needed to cook my renders longer :) I turned on unlimited render time and leave it on all night.
I learned that I may never get the hang of dforce. Sometimes, I do ok and sometimes not.
I learned that I might need to postwork my piece for hours, maybe days.
I am really happy with this piece!!! Not perfect, but I am so happy!

Oh Jan this is lovely. And your work is very impressive. This reminds me of an old portrait my grandmother had. Really excellent.

Thank you!!!
I could not believe I found the perfect background for her!! I ran this through several filters and even adjusted the overall lighting!!
I actually used https://www.renderosity.com/gallery/items/3108529/in-her-easter-bonnet as my inspiration :) I wanted to create a very soft, sweet little girl. Larry (hubby) thought her hair was too wide and didn't really think the headpiece was right. I had already worked so many days on her and had already rendered her overnight twice!!
The more old-fashioned headpiece didn't come on sale until this weekend. I didn't want to start over.
Now, I see part of her hair on the right side is cut off :( I just am NOW seeing this.
I didn't do any post work on her hair, but I did do a lot of post work on the ruffle on her dress.
I'm going to see what happened.
I do so much post work and so many versions that I forget what I have a have done.
When people think that this is not art, they have no idea what it takes to do this.

Very lovely! Even if they are ready-made items, your image reflects your individual taste. It's so gorgeous!

HI!!! I have so missed you!!! Thank you so much! I am so crazy about Daz Studio. I am still using 4.12.1
I want to upgrade to the current version. However, I don't want my life turned upside down. I read so many problems.
Do you have any advice???

This is very nice. I don't use DAZ so I know nothing about how it is done.
