My fanart of Dana Scully from the X-Files TV series. This was by far my most beloved TV series at the time, so I was eager to make a fanart for it. Feminist activist Gillian Anderson had a tough time playing this well-behaved, Catholic Christian conservative character for almost a decade. In interviews, she said she hated Dana with a passion, especially how she dressed and behaved so conservatively, which was (according to her) her total opposite. It was also troublesome having to tint her blonde hair red for so many years, so she cut it short and wore a wig for the final seasons. But whether or not Anderson hated her, she became one of the most beloved female protagonists.
