~Faye Valentine~ My fanart of Faye from Cowboy Bebop (1998). My favorite art style from the late 1990s, and some of the best character designs and jazzy music - "cool" doesn't start to describe it. Not to mention Faye was voiced by Megumi Hayashibara, one of the greatest VAs from that era. Faye is a 77 years old lady due to her 54-years-old-long suspended animation in cryogenic freeze, having a huge debt she had to pay for somehow. "Valentine" was not really her last name, but just a random one given by the doctor who woke her up from cryogenics. She had no memory of her past, waking up in a world she didn't understand, so she trusted no one. But in spite of dressing skimpy outfits, Faye is no damsel in distress. She can handle herself quite well. She can punch straight, handle weapons (MP5 and Glock50), and even fly a plane - without giving up her beauty and femininity. Her real name remains a mystery. Her true identity and past remain mysterious and ambiguous, adding to the enigmatic nature of her character. The show explores bits and pieces of her past but never discloses her original name or background in detail.
