Description
The Invaders had breached the outpost's final barricade. Her parents, all of the adults had died trying to protect them. She was the oldest now. She had gotten the children to the programed escape ship, and launched it. She remained behind. She knew it was not a fight she could win. She needed only delay them till the ship reached safety. She hoped to make her parents proud, and to see them soon. She took a breath, gripped the weapon, and waited.
