Oh but not for me, Mr James, I'm just looking after it. There was this bloke, like, who had the car and he rather liked the look of Maria, and said maybe she would like a posh car. So. of course, I accepted on her behalf, didn't I? Fascinating story, Chomper. By the way, are you aware that the police have brought in new ways of checking car theft? Eh? Well, cats and dogs are now microchipped, aren't they? Yes. Well, in a similar fashion, nowadays - as from last month - so are cars. Every car gets a microchip number when it rolls off the production line. So, should this car be checked by the police, might it possibly be identified as nicked ...? Oh I doubt that, Mr James. Very trusting of you, Chomper. I wonder, though - are you sure Maria really needs her own car ?- after all, she has so many of yours to drive. Oh, and by the way, the Chief Constable is coming round for tea tomorrow. Courtesy call, like. Do make sure there are no problems that might possibly upset him.....
