I'm just Molly. Mrs. Mike was my ID for many years when I modeled for my deviant husband, Mike B. It was Mike that introduced me to Poser.
I have modeled in real life a bit. My introduction to 3d imaging was through making pictures of my adventures in Second Life and over the10 years I've been learning Poser and making Poser pictures. In real life, I am a near completely retired health care professional and a full time grandma. In my digital life I am a Second Life heroine, a Second Life villainess and here and at Deviant Art I'm a budding 3D artist.
My next big project is to learn Blender.

the lighting and flames are really well done. should i ever decide to graduate to a mre modern version of Poser, i shall be definitely asking you a question or 107... heh... it just all seems so complex to me... :o
MollyFootman
Heh. Sometimes it seems pretty complex to me, too! XD
I will always be willing to help if you have any questions.
Thanks so much for the comment! It's amazing but the lighting is really all from those torches. In previous years, I would have put a point light source in each of them; that works great with Firefly rendering. With the newer rendering engine I can actually set the material of the flames to give off the light! Very cool! =)

Nice scene I like the first better. It's so true about the lighting from the flames. I really want Poser Dev's to step up the game in regrades to Superfly engine. It is great but in this day in age it should be on par with Iray engine. My wish list for improvements is lighting and volumetrics. Poser is better in animation than daz and motion blur. Now we can tell when someone is working from Poser 13 by the bloom effects, you did a good job with balance to bloom here. Keep up the good work you are inspiring others and me. Have a good weekend.

Hey, thanks for all the encouragement, my dear! I agree that the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine can still be better and happily I think that's where we're most likely to see continued work from the Poser development team! =D I very much appreciate your validation that I hit the mark with spectral bloom here; it's an effect that is easy to over do! As for inspiration, that's synergistic and I look forward to catching up on more of your work soon! =)

Super travail, l'éclairage avec les flammes et vraiment très convainquant.
MollyFootman
Merci cher Roger! J'ai l'impression de devenir beaucoup plus habile avec des scènes faiblement éclairées et des sources d'éclairage comme les torches. =)

Great scene - love the lighting!
MollyFootman
Thank you! I feel like I'm getting much better with dimly lit scenes and use of the exposure enhancement on the Superfly Cycles X post rendering effects is like a whole new avenue to explore. =)

Great lighting and characters
MollyFootman
Thank you! That freebie Dragania character is a real gift and worth acquiring. Most of the rest of the content is the work of the very talented Cybertenko. I couldn't do this stuff without their content! =)

In addition to the perfect technical realization, it is a very beautiful suggestive scene!

Thank you, my dear! I'm sorry that I somehow missed your encouraging comment until now! =)

Well, Miss Molly it seems you've delved into darkness and torchlight again. Fun isn't it? Some of the most dramatic scenes can be created with these lighting effects as you've shown. Then again, I'm a fan on several accounts :)
MollyFootman
Thanks, JD! I think I'm starting to get the hang of it and having just discovered the usefulness of some of the post rendering effect in the Superfly Cycles X rendering engine it's like I've found a whole new world! =D

Beautiful scene, definitely an Indiana Jones mood here! Nice play with light and shadows!
MollyFootman
Thank you! Heh. Probably the Indiana Jones feel because I've been re-watching those in anticipation of going to see the new movie. XD

😲Oh wow Molly! The composition and the light from the torches are done so well. I do prefer the lighting in the first image. Really get the Indianna Jones vibe from this image.
MollyFootman
Thanks, Randy! I agree there is something to be said for a bit darker image... I continue to try to figure out dimly lit scenes! XD

Your lighting is always well done, the care you take is apparent. I like both images, please don't make me choose. Lol!

Thank you for such a lovely comment, my dear! <3

I like the brighter one but they both have their appeal! Excellent image! Bravo!
MollyFootman
Heh. Thanks for letting me know, I like that one a bit better, too. Some others here expressed an opinion in favor of the darker one... what's a girl to do? I guess your mileage may vary... =)

Lighter one looks great to me...Dig it !
MollyFootman
Thanks, Rik! That's all post effects work within the Superfly rendering engine itself. Photoshop only used to resized the image. =)
