Description

Had my appointment yesterday with the cardiologist - what a cool dude! I like him! Anyway they did an EKG, blood pressure, all the usual stuff, and I showed him my BP - heartbeat results I've been writing down since I bought my neat little monitor (they were using almost the same monitor in their office.). Anyway - long story short - I'm doing fine. He was a bit puzzled why my Nurse Practitioner was so intense about this, but he said he'd mail me a 30-day monitor to wear, and just track things in case she saw something weird. I asked about doing yard work and stuff, and he said to just go on like my normal days. (like anything is "normal" around here! LOL) He said all the readings I'd taken looked good, and the EKG he ordered also looked fine. He explained everything very well, and it turns out some irregularities are perfectly normal - everyone has them. He had a very unique way of explaining how the heart actually works, and why some irregularities are expected. He likened it to a train running on the railroad tracks. As a normal part of operating, it will speed up, slow down, and hit a bump every so often. Perfectly normal. What is concerning is when the train "jumps" the track (as in blockages, frequent arrhythmias, lengthy pauses, stuff like that). I'm not having any of these, thankfully. I'll be receiving that monitor in the mail soon (I'm assuming it's just some kind of band or sticker), and wear it for 30 days. I'll be interested to see the results. But the basic run-down is that it looks like the ol' pump inside my body is just rolling along, doing its job, and not complaining. I'll have to admit it.... Yesterday was one hellofa relief! And the Girls are pretty happy about it, too... "Yeah, we are! We've been sitting on our butts doing nothing while all these lunatics are trying to take over the world!" "I know, G..., Ar, Kinnie.... I'll be fixing that soon!" Thanks for all your awesome support, comments and views, my friends! You rock! Rod's Lair Official Girls From T.N.A. Website Rod's Blog Facebook Twitter Girls From T.N.A. Great news brother, you always get (like me) upset too quickly, so in the future "Tame your Zeal", we're both not 20s anymore, I send you a gentle hug!

Have fun with the monitor, Iv'e had one on twice now in the last year for my AFIB but I think you'll figure it out. Worst part is shaving your chest to put it on. 😁

Now that's great, some good news at last! The best thing you can have in life is good health as it makes many other good things possible. I am heading in that direction myself but not there yet.

Oh, and I am not getting notifications reliably either, hence my missing some of your recent posts.

Yeah, I think a lot of stuff is boogered up here at 'Rosity. My latest image (this one) doesn't even show up when I click on "My Gallery." I'm not getting gallery notifications reliably either.

Super looking image, I really like the excitement of the lovely ladies. Keep it up. Life is short so make the best of it. Good to hear things are not seriously abnormal.

So relieved about your heart potential issues. It sounds like you're doing just fine but I can imagine you must have been anxious. The gals look delighted with the news! Stay safe Sir!

I'm glad you got good news about your heart! I cheering big time for you. My heart experience didn't turn out as good as yours. When I turned 60, my heart developed an electrical blockage preventing communication between the upper and lower valves. I had to have a pace maker installed. Good news (for what it is worth), I'm still tick away at 74. On my second pacemaker though.

It's always great to hear about good news. Now as for normal? I've stopped looking for normal years ago. I think it has attained the rank of myth.

A very cool work, it reminded me of when I handed in my essay in medicine, it was something incredible, maybe on the verge of fiction. The thing was that I had to write an essay, and it was good that my good friends https://www.nursingpaper.com/examples/medicine/ helped me with it, without whom I would not have been able to write anything, and the most interesting thing is that everything turned out as no one expected. I received the essay right in front of the main entrance to the university, and a teacher was waiting for me in the room. You can't even imagine her expression on her face.

Good to read! I'm glad, you got that relief, because i know how such uncertainties can block the mind. So if the doc said you shall just do as ever, I don't expect your cute PinUps will disappear any soon 😉 😆

Glad to hear it, Rod. I was very hopeful, as symptomatic low blood pressure usually turns out to be a big "nothingburger" (but not always [>.<] ). I look forward to seeing more of the girls and your other work when you have time. <3

P.S. I was a nurse practitioner until I retired a couple of years ago. ;-P
