My commentary on the plight of unwanted cats and kittens at a very critical time for shelters and rescues everywhere in this country, which are bursting at the seams, and no room to take in more when so few are being adopted out. As a consequence, litter after litter are being born in abandoned houses, outdoors at the mercy of predators and the elements, etc. Animal lovers are scrambling to trap, spay/neuter and care for them in the meantime, but despite their best efforts, some innocent lives will unfortunately fall through the cracks. Humans are to blame for this state of affairs, and we MUST do better by our helpless and innocent creatures to ensure they will not suffer. Please RUN, do not walk, to your nearest shelter or rescue to adopt a needy cat or kitten (always best to adopt a pair of kittens so they can keep each other company) or a dog. You will have saved a precious life or two, and you'll have the undying gratitude of that animal for LIFE! #Adoptdontshop #SpayNeuter
