Description
Not every job is as fun as Clover Circus family members. A continuation from my previous "Step Right Up!" post. Morris Clover the eldest of three to Herb and Shelly sometimes does time in the mascot suit known as "Lucky". It's been a particularly hot summer day and Morris slips behind the tent to catch a breather and hydration. His friend (wishes was his girlfriend) Reign Chaffin both teens have elastic powers. Reign is of Haitian decent and sometimes uses words and phrases from Haitian creole dialect while talking. Reign stops by to see him and offer him his favorite cold beverage while Bingo the monkey looks on with a bit of mischief in mind.
Reign: Koman bagay yo ye? Here ya go Morris, I got your favorite Blue Ox Energy drink.
Morris: Whew, thanks R.C. I'm practically melting int this suit. How'd you know I was going to be here.
Reign: Simple you always pick the same spot to rest when you wear the Lucky costume. Here let hold me hold it for ya I got a straw since ya can't hold the cup
while in costume.
Morris blushes a little and can only nod his head in agreement. Reign sets her drink down on the cooler and leans over to help Morris with his drink. Just then Bingo the monkey rushes to towards the two friends.
Reign: Vakabon monkey! No ya don't!
As she speaks, she stretches her free arm and inflates her hand several sizes to block Bingo's charge. Bingo startled stumbles to ground. The only injury being to his pride. Reign still giving him the stink eye as he shuffles off in defeat.
Morris: Cool reflexes R.C. you been training?
Reign: Not really just a little on guard after what happened last time Bingo was around.
Morris: Oh yeah, the soda got everywhere on the suit and even got some on you.

Hope Morris doesn't drink too much in that suit. Unless that has been thought out as well. :-)

๐Well when and if zipper fails, he can always use his superpowers to get out the suit in an emergency.

Looks like it is to hot out to be wearing that costume.
MajinBoo
Yeah, there are modern features for mascot costumes but end of the day you going to hot and sweaty. I just had this idea of who was in the costume in the previous carnival image. ๐

Wonderful, sunny scene with these characters and their little buddy. A fun story to go with the art!

Thanks RodS glad you like the image and little story I included. The fun part was when I added their little buddy. ๐

It would have been a fun picture even without the monkey and the little story. Love that you attend to details like the discarded banana peel and other trash... XD. As I am always picking at nits, it occurs to me that you might want to use subdivision a bit on the mascot costume as there are places where it appears a bit "blocky" when viewed at full rez; of course, sometimes things don't render well with subdivision but it's always worth a look if you are getting edges in something that you wanted to appear a bit more plush and soft. =)

Thank you, Molly. Addling little details like trash are something that my better half Kimmy would point out. So, it's gotten to the point where I do it without her even saying anything. I never thought about using the subdivision but the blocky look in costume did bother me. I appreciate the advice you give me with my work. The monkey wasn't part of my original idea I had but adding him did inspire the story. ๐
