Most possibly the "False Heath Fritilary", Melitaea diamina. Great shot!

Thanks Chrysaor, always interesting to know the species name. I looked up Metlitaea Diamina and they are from quite a different region. This was in north western north america. You got me curious, and I think it's an Aphrodite Fritillary. So same family which makes sense given the similarity of look.
