Description

I made the plant while learning to use Xfrog, and imported it into Bryce. The plant is mostly glass and took forever to render even at this small size. I don't know if I'll ever be able to render a full size version... The weird glowy thing out the window was added PP.

Beautiful plant! Is it contagious? Wouldn't it be better to take an iron-texture, instead of the glass, because of the render-time, or would it look that different? And: Could you make a definition of "forever"? smile Cool picture!

Nice modelling and glad to see your using xfrog. Strangely alien of course applies, which is a good thing hehe. Glass does take forever with xfrog models, they tend let bryce render the default 6 shadows deep and with xfrog that means every joint has to be calculated.

Whats killing your render time is the trasparency and reflection in the glass.. try take off the reflection and use the refration more.. and even lessen the transparency some. Just add specularity cuz that will make it look reflective. There ar elots of ways you could kill render time. Just play around with it.
