Description
Emma here looks after me - stops me falling down, like, does the laundry, cooks the meals (including thinking of new recipes for variety), puts the rubbish out, makes the bed, well, you think of a task and she can cover it.
Yes. I know she is far, far more intelligent than I am. And an android. So what?
She could get bored looking after a silly old bugger like me.
But she never complains; many a human carer would.
So I am not complaining. I just hope she never gets tired of looking after me.
I'm not all that bright; but I know when I`m well off.
One of the few perks of growing old in the UK; you can have a care robot - a domestic - for nowt on the NHS.
But you might find it difficult to find a human doctor nowadays ...
Well, I still call this country the UK - or even GB, instead of the British Federal Republic...
What happened to Our Empire?
It was there when I was born.
Along with George VI.
I suspect that I might well be clasified as a dinosaur nowadays.
Not that I give a dam.
Cheers.

Happiness is important! Nice art and story.

A touching story that is nicely illustrated. I expect that if an android/gynoid really achieved the level he describes there would be fewer human caretakers. Probably a matter of which was cheaper... =/

Ah, but this is based on the idea that the android would be free under the NHS ... if it survives!

Then no question that this sort of care giver would be preferred by many (myself included! XD ).
