I've been doing the CGI modelling and texturing bit for a few years now on and off. Â
I come from a physical model building and painting background (miniatures, some sculpting painting, etc).   That's taught me a lot about how to get a certain look out of a certain technique or texture.    A lot of that carries over into 3d modelling and texture building.
My day job is a soul-sucking piece of [expletive deleted] but it pays the bills.  But I still need to do more and give something back.    So these boards are kind of an outlet for that side of myself.
Â
I love the post apocalyptic and survival horror genres, as is evident in most of my goodies.  The cheesier the movie the better.

I remember that series. Even own the DVDs. Shudder to think of how you'd redo the series. Call me a wimp, but I prefer some balance between hard and fast action on the one hand, and on the other something involving a little more intellectual reflection, if you get what I mean. Well, I guess our tastes are just a bit different...

There's a place for hard and fast action, but full-bore all the time gets a little monotonous, to the point of self parody. I have the DVD set as well as this one has fond memories of childhood (like Shazam, Isis, Bigfoot & Wildboy, Planet Earth etc). This one is definitely a parody, as the innocence of the series is twisted by the over-the-top of Fury Road.
