Quiet son, he is thinking really hard about it. Boys and their toys! ;-)
Radar_rad-dude
Yes, we must have them, even if it is only to dream about them but never being able to actually get them! This truck, however, was no toy! I put in many years on the farm hauling gain, livestock and many other items and was a very dependable asset for our agricultural enterprise! Many thanks for the comment! I greatly appreciate it!

Won't stay that clean for long!
Radar_rad-dude
A true observation, my friend! But an effort was made many times during its first years on the farm to keep it clean, but alas like so many other farm implements, the glow did eventually wear off! Many thanks for your kindness in viewing and commenting!

You can pull a big 5th wheel trailer with that

Thanks for the comment and observation my friend! This particular truck, meaning the one my Dad purchased, had a grain box put on it with a hoist. It had livestock extension for the top of the box as well. It was a great performing truck for us for quite a few years but sadly now, it is just sitting somewhere on the farm rusting away!

Very nice image. It is always cute to hear your child say let us buy it, when they have no money, and have no concept where the money comes from. lol Nice looking truck, I say buy it. lol. Well done!

Thanks for the observation and viewing my friend! I greatly appreciate your impressions!

What a perfect truck here Bill! That was my hobby as a teen and I could reel off all manner of commercial vehicles and their derivatives. Go and buy it for the lad! He deserves the excitement of driving a decent-sized truck!
Radar_rad-dude
Many thanks for the comment, Steve! This truck is one just like the one my Father purchased brand new back in 1963. I remember driving past the dealership many times and looking at the row of brand new trucks on the lot, never believing that my Dad would actually purchase one. His previous brand new 2 ton truck was purchased in 1941 just before the second world war began. He had to take the train down to Minneapolis Minnesota to the assembly plant to pick it up and drove it over 500 miles back home. Both these trucks are still on the farm but their fate, I'm afraid, is not a happy one! They sit in weed patches slowly returning to forgotten memories! But both gave our family many uncountable happy memories!

"Let's" buy it? OK, Kiddo. You do realize that's your allowance for the next 15 years, right? 😉
This is great, Bill! I can recall a few conversations like this with my dad.... LOL That truck is a beauty!
Radar_rad-dude
Many thanks for your support and comments, Rod! I am greatly appreciative of your kindness!

Ok son but to participate in the purchase, you’ll have to empty your piggy bank… beautiful image !!
Radar_rad-dude
Yes, it would only be fair that the youngster participates in the purchase! After all, he will be allowed to ride in this beautiful vehicle too, I assume! LOL! Many thanks for the comment my friend! Greatly appreciated!
bakapo
Yes, dad, buy it and create some memories with your kid. Nice work!
Radar_rad-dude
And boy did we ever create a lot of memories in this truck! Many fine memories I must say! Many thanks for the comment my friend! Always a pleasure to get your take!

Radar_rad-dude
Thanks Richard! Well, this one was a recreation of the truck my Dad bought brand new in 1963, hence the white color! Many thanks for commenting! Greatly appreciated, my friend!

Nice image. Dad's struggling with the finances.
Radar_rad-dude
Yes! That was always the problem! Either drought and low yield crops or just low prices for the commodities! It was always something! We were lucky to be able to afford such a nice truck when we got it!
