Definitely not a chickadee :) Not sure your region, but looks very much like a house sparrow. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/House_Sparrow/overview they are very gregarious birds, a bit like chickadees that way, but even more used to people.

I think I saw chickadee with the bold patterns and fluffy body. The sparrows in my area usually look more slimmed down.

No worries, bird ID can be hard. Last few years have been spending a lot of time with song birds and both chickadees and house sparrows are daily visitors for me ;)
