Description
Ok, these 3 images have nothing to do with each other: I just wanted to post something---and I've got nothing new to post---so I pulled out 3 ancient images, and boom: Welcome to my world!
The first is some kind of first-day-of-creation garden. (It's reeealllly green.)
The second is---I have no idea, it just came to me! (About 20 years ago.)
The dog is named Tatyana Petrovnia, btw. And the cossack in front? Gregorovich Kamchatskiy of Minsk.
(I name my drawings...whaddya gonna do...)
Finally, the last image is morning on Lake Michigan. Bad focus, but I had to get that dawn light.
I've been offline quite a bit, but I'm trying to comment on all of you while I'm back. I hope you're all surviving the extreme heat, and I hope you're all well! Have a great early August, and thanks for stopping by! It's always a pleasure to be back here. Be well all! Mark
(ps---I had to label this "mixed medium" because it was digital art, drawing, and photography---I didn't know another category. "A Really Messed Up Bunch" didn't seem appropriate...)

I like your "really messed up bunch" The green is wonderful. I love green; it's life and coolness and I feel like I could get lost in that image for days. The drawing is fun, be they dancing or doing yoga, they are fun. The last photo is beautiful; the morning light and coloring is breathtaking especially accented with the dark tree and land. Bravo! Take care and enjoy the rest of the summer!

OK, Mark.... I looked at that wonderful green-filled, flowy, calming, and natural first image just before taking a BP reading, and it was the best reading all week! No irregular heartbeats at all! I'm printing that and taking it with me at my next appointment. I'm sure my nurse practitioner is gonna either think "WTF" or add it to her prescription list.... 😉
The second image just cracks me up... I can't remember who did all those cartoons with the legs like that, but I always found them funny. I'm actually thinking about picking up a pencil (or even my colored pencils if I can find them..), and making some amateurish scrawls on paper (hopefully better than that silly cat I did a couple years ago..). 😆
And that third image - the photo - put me right back in the peaceful, calm, "let's take my BP now" kind of mood. And I also got my EOS 6D out from under the shelf where it's been sleeping the last several months while I snap so-so snapshots with my phone. I've gotta get out and get some actual PHOTOGRAPHS this fall.
A most delightful trio of smile-inducers here, Mark!
I'm about 2/3 of the way through this damn website / domain / email transfer / migration / mess / wearing out my slash key episode. My brain hurts. It's now wandering around in the street with an "Unfair Labor Practices" sign over its shoulder. I didn't even know brains HAD shoulders.. Ah well... Live and learn. And when my brain gets back, it's going to have a boxcar load of stuff to process. Sheesh...
Anyhooo... Glad to see a post from you, good sir, and thanks as always for your wonderful comments! I never fail to learn something about myself from them. 👍😁

I'm so happy to see you posting! I absolutely love the green garden, it has a very calming effect but also lends itself to dreaming of creation...its simply divine! Definite Russian feeling in the cartoon, I always love your cartoon figures, they make me smile and the colors in the photo are beautiful, another dreamy feel...I hope this finds you feeling much stronger and gaining more strength each day...Thank you for your many visits and wonderful comments, you are so appreciated!

thank you as always, Lynn, for your comments and loving wishes. I'm here only a day or two every several weeks, right now, but I see what you leave, always, and deeply appreciate it. Thank you for receiving my work as you do, and seeing in it all that you see. (For example, I hadn't even thought about my frames...I'm now conscious of them from now on.) I hope you are doing well, and I send all my healing and love. (And I hope the heat wasn't too heavy where you are, too.) Take care, be well, and thank you again for all your kindness. Love and light from the big city...m

I forgot to mention, I love the frame on the garden!

The thing about potpourri is the combination is what makes it perfect. Your combination of choices made me smile.

I can fall in love with your creations, Mark. First short: the green image is a masterpiece. The Kozak is so very funny. The photo is endless and exciting. 1st image. It seems as if suddenly everything and 'everyone' wakes up, extend their arms, while, surrounded by water, they move along in a, for them, unprecedented current. Yes, it is the new life that becomes aware that it exists that it can move, see, smell and feel. There is also a cadence in it, a kind of music. There is a sweet melody and everything recognizes the voice, and feels the energy that is released. Everyone is so delighted about the fact that they exist. So many ideas come up, inspiration. It is so new, and everything is so curious how this will continue. The start of a journey of discovery.
Gregorovich Kamchatskiy of Minsk, LOL! He keeps a close eye on his left foot. He was probably afraid that you would not completely put his foot on your drawing. :D Or he was afraid that he could not get his leg back, yes of course that would be a big problem for a Cossack. What is a Cossack without a heel, toe or a strong leg? Feed for the dog, called Tatyana Petrovnia! She with an ear down and the other up, a sign of so-called innocence? Tatyana Petrovnia ridicules the Kozak, and I think the Kozak knows it. Well, as long as you have fun, right?
Then the mysterious photo. Everything radiates a kind of tense atmosphere, as if someone holds his breath. The intriguing tree on the left, then the person, of which I have to guess if he/she uses a tool to move on. It seems that lonely, both alone, because they don't see you. Now that I am going to fantasize about, what if this person were going to sing, what if the lamppost suddenly started to flicker and sparkle; the tree would be shocked and perhaps drop a few branches, because they became so glowing hot by the lamppost. Well, I hope one thing that this singing person is not touched by one of those glowing hot branches. Without nonsense, I think this photo speaks of profundity, exactly what I love.
Well, this my "Really Messed Up Bunch"!

I must admit that I have a weakness for this spectacular and most beautiful green digital modern age etching where this gorgeous lush scenery catches our concentration and sort of tickles our imagination, looking at it. Also, the lighting on Lake Michigan is exceptional and absolutely was worth the capture you're sharing with us here. As for the drawing, the apparent slightly strained symmetry of the two characters leads to something much funnier and tongue-in-cheek right away ! To put it in a nutshell, you've been beautifully inspired to share these three creations with us today!
