Yes, it's an oldie. Again. 2017. Probably PP2014 now that we're up to 2017. Firefly is very particular about how you use Translucence, and it's totally unintuitive - you need a bagginsbill to make any sense of it*. I didn't do it quite right here (I think, if I recall correctly, that I should have a second Diffuse node with normals forward ticked driving Alternate Diffuse), but the translucence is doing approximately the right thing, at least what I wanted, here. I probably need more saturation on the hair colour going into translucence, and maybe the hair's too 'solid'-looking ? Perhaps I should try using the trick posted here ? *I'll add links to the relevant forum topics here when I find them. My reference(s): 2017-11-21 - Hair Test
