Description

Colonel Thaddeus Honeythorne III Noted Adventurer Shown here with his dog, Butch, at the Adventurer's Club where his latest trophy from his safari hangs proudly on the wall. The good colonel is quoted as saying, "Yes, Yes, the dragon was easy to find, unlike that bloody mouse." We wish Colonel Honeythorne all the best in his quest for the elusive creature he seeks. :) Comments and Suggestions are welcome Feel free to check out my other gallery entries if you have a moment. If you'd like to see the further adventures of Morty, the mouse, check out Relaxing by Candlelight. Thanks as always for looking. Vue/Poser/Photoshop/Painter This is rendered 90% in Vue, with some postwork embellishments such as the hair/beard, a little fur on the dog, some fire and smoke effects. The Poser elements were imported into Vue for Render. Credits: Concept & render, hair/beard, monocle, fire and smoke effects by ShadowWind Painting "Race for Home" by ShadowWind (in my Gallery). Frame is from der-jimi. Colonel Honeythorne is played by Mike 2 with Senior Texture from Catherina (additional painting by Me) Scottish Uniform from Poserworld Millenium Dragon and House Mouse from Daz Butch, the dog is played by the Poser 4 Dog with Texture by Jessica at Fignations (with additional fur by me) Hannya Mask by Zippo in FreeStuff Fireplace, Lamps, Hall from the Mansion at Daz Candles by Alexander in FreeStuff Not sure where I got the Pipe Pith Helmet is the Bobbie Hat from raysherm, retextured by me. Special Thanks to Moebius87 for his custom creation for the Hunter's Plaque.

WoW! What a wonderful piece with such depth and detail. So much attention paid to every aspect of the piece from the fireplace to the painting behind Col. Honeythorne III. Quite an adventurer it seems...to have a dragon's head on his wall. Just excellent Shadow! You continue to out-do yourself...Cheryl

BRAVO!!! This is an excellent image, from concept to execution, no details were spared. Terrific lighting and a really wonderful expression on the character. Any minute now the Colonel is going to launch into the upteenth telling of his dragon slaying adventure. The dog couldn't care less how many times the Colonel tells the story, he's just happy to be in the image. The mouse is the clincher, great visual pun. Very well done, sir! :o)

My friend Shadow - I believe should I be on time for my own funeral - people will likely think I'm someone else because they won't believe I made it. I've sat here staring at this newest masterpiece of yours for about the last ten minutes - (you know how I adore detail!). I really believe that you're growing in leaps as an artist, and this spectacular image is absolute proof that your skills are becoming honed to perfection. Not only have you created a wonderful story-telling render, and done so with style, humor, details and richness of color - you've achieved an almost magical level of realism with a great blend of whimsy and fantasy. The expression on Colonel Thaddeus Honeythorne III - (Love his name) is absolutely precious. Truly one of your very best my friend!

Those bright eyes give it all away. He's been too close to the Weatherby .460 when it barked. Nice that he can spend his later years in peace.
