Neat scene! The figures are great and I love the way your background really sets the scene with a sense of place (I know it sounds odd to say that, but I often get the feeling that many times backgrounds are backdrops and could be swapped out with anything). This works. The one thing I don't completely "get" is her pose... Her body language seems to be a bit at odds with her expression. She seems a bit flat footed and upright, which seems unnatural. If she were really surprised she would lean backward at the wait, at least a bit. Also, if you added some motion to the hair that would enhance the sense that this is happening fast and she needs to do something quick! Of course, these are minor quibbles. This is a neat scene and I really like what you're doing here. Thanks for sharing it!
