Description

While browsing through an artist's gallery in another site, I came across what's called a Cornell Box. Short explanation, it's used to see how well a render engine comes to real life in lighting. I modified it thinking from my photographer background, and thought it would be cool to see what I could do with some models. This is a 3d render from Daz, with very little post work. I just did some light balancing and sharpening. I think this came out really well. The detail I noticed is that the skin still doesn't look the best it could be. It's too uniform. I'll need to do some more work on altering, enhancing details to make it look better. The idea is to put different 3d models in the box to see how they turn out. I'll be playing with lights, and other box details to see what I can come up with. ----------------------- From Wikipedia: What is a Cornell box project? The Cornell box is a test aimed at determining the accuracy of rendering software by comparing the rendered scene with an actual photograph of the same scene, and has become a commonly used 3D test model. It was created by Cindy M. Goral, Kenneth E. Torrance, Donald P ----------------------- Thanks for looking!

Well done! I am fond of Joseph Cornell - the artist - boxes. But I wonder why such box is called Cornell box. Humor?

From what little I know, it was started by Cornell University. I didn't know that someone had done more art with the boxes, I'll have to look him up.

I just checked and I thought I had been already been following you, because I love your vehicles! I have now corrected that error and thanks for the follow.
