I'm just Molly. Mrs. Mike was my ID for many years when I modeled for my deviant husband, Mike B. It was Mike that introduced me to Poser.
I have modeled in real life a bit. My introduction to 3d imaging was through making pictures of my adventures in Second Life and over the10 years I've been learning Poser and making Poser pictures. In real life, I am a near completely retired health care professional and a full time grandma. In my digital life I am a Second Life heroine, a Second Life villainess and here and at Deviant Art I'm a budding 3D artist.
My next big project is to learn Blender.

Dang Molly, she could be one of mine - except you did her better :)

Thanks, JD. She's wearing a lot less clothing than I usually put on my characters and that certainly is closer to your aesthetic. ;-P I use a lot of base meshes for my characters to promote variety but it still seems that good ol' V4 has plenty of life in her. =)

Oh and I forget my main message.
Animation is a whole new universe and a pretty big skill set to master. Tried the DAZ to Unreal Engine 4 Bridge and it worked pretty well except some texturing issues. UE5 is vastly superior. I don't know its compatibility with Poser, but it seems likely.
Have a sorta noir piece up for Radar as a test of a new vehicle. It's sorta for you too, though I have something else in mind. Thinking it might have a Bentley...
MollyFootman
Animation is INDEED a whole different animal. I'll likely stick with Poser for the moment as I am still learning that tool and don't need to confuse my pretty little head with other tools. I had started messing with Blender which is similar to Poser in some ways but even that is s-l-o-w going for teh Mollz. XD
I am WAY behind in enjoying others' art but I'm going to make a point to get into your feed. It sounds like you're up to something interesting! =)

Nicely done and love the theme. Yep, animation is a whole new animal. I'm still trying to figure it out as well.

I'll have to have a look at what you're up to with animation. There are so many things that might be moving in a scene and NONE of it happens magically. It's very challenging for me to think about doing more than orbiting with a camera. XD
Thanks for your comment, my dear! <3

Congrats on taking the first steps towards creating animation! This is exactly how I started, by doing a 360 degree camera rotation animation. Animating the camera will essentially become one of the most important skills an animator has to master before anything else. My personal recommendation would be to get comfortable with animating the camera first and then go from there...good luck as you move forward in creating more awesome content! :-)
MollyFootman
Thanks for the helpful advice. <3 I am so interested in animation but rather intimidated by it as well. =/

cool video revolving image. nice job...

Thank you, Steve. I don't know if I'll ever have the "chops" to manage more animation than this but this kind of animation only involves setting up a scene (which I've gotten pretty good at) and deciding how many frames (how much time) you want to give the posing camera to "yaw" from 0 to 360 degrees. In this case I chose 360 frames yielding 12 seconds. It then renders and renders and renders.... XD

This is pretty cool, Molly! Your first steps into animation - and you're way ahead of me! I have some serious catching-up to do - on many levels...
MollyFootman
I don't know about being WAY ahead of you, Rod. ;-) As I mentioned to Steve this doesn't require too much more than setting up a scene and being willing to give your computer a few hours to render all those frames. XD
Thanks for your encouragement, though! I really appreciate it. =)

I like when people do these kind of videos, it leaves some room for imagination, we actually don't need much thing moving on screen to fill the gaps, that's very effective in my opinion!
MollyFootman
Thank you, my dear, I really appreciate the encouragement. It's certainly a lovely way to display content and really not too challenging, even for an animation noob like me! ;o)

I'm working on it Mollz. Did post another near forgotten POV of the old airship scene for you as a hold-over :)
MollyFootman
Thanks in advance, JD. I enjoyed what you initially shared and I look forward to catching up with your galler. =)

V4 indeed lives. Older toons have virtues and values, particularly as newer ones work up to speed. I still prefer DAZ G8 to the newer G9, even with my current lazy penchant for pinups. In more traditional, or dramatic scenes, even G3s work in a pinch. More focus on drama then glitz, and dirt textures hide a lot :)
MollyFootman
Heh. Well all of those are "new fangled" meshes as far as I am concerned. XD Some of the figures I use predate the release of DAZ Studio dating back to the time when Poser was the only kid on the block. =P
Of course, I have nothing against La Femme and L'Homme, the newest Poser specific figures and feature them often. ;-)

L'homme and La Femme nearly had me trying Poser, as Tempesta and other artists were creating Poser only characters I really wanted :)
MollyFootman
I am a bit surprised that those figures can't be used in DAZ Studio. They share much with their predecessors which I THINK would load but clearly I am not very knowledgeable about Studio. Of course, the textures would need a lot of work as I-Ray and Superfly Cycles X are very different animals.
Way too much to learn... XD

Splendid!!!! As you say above, good ol' V4 does indeed have plenty of life in her!

Thank you so much for such a lovely, encouraging comment! =)
