after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve
i enjoy working with poser, i have such a dinosaur version i use, (p6) wish i had poser 2012 at least. i also use photoshop 7 for most of my work i post here. but more so photography is my main passion, just hope to get a camera again someday.
p.s. not sure how high of a res pic i'm using for this page. take care and thanks a million you all.

Smoking hot render! Used to go to Colorado Springs from time to time for work, never saw the fest but remember seeing the occasional balloons. Great photos!

Superbes photos !!

Nice render. When I use Poser, I almost always use superfly now. I don't know that much about the settings, but when I run into an issue, I search the internet.

Mindblowing glamorous stellar composition, amazing environment and lighting, brilliant awesome render.
Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!
Use Optix if you have Nvidia video card, adaptive samples (the smaller the better, try 0.001), filter glossy 1.5, clamp direct samples 12, clamp indirect samples 6 (these values are terminating the rays after that 'clamp' number). Check branch path tracing, all valus under that set them to 4, it's a good start. On the right side, min bounces and below all at least 8. Try to always use and have checked refractive and reflexive caustics for realism but, they can add noise. Run tests to find the optimum for your scene. Bucket size try 128 but it only helps with the video card temperatures, you can also safely use 256 or 512 but the large the bucket, the more time the video card will stay hot. Pixel samples is for iterations that refines the image, more iterations, longer render times, better image quality. Try to start pixel samples between 24-32, higher numbers later, after tests. Noise can also be reduced by adding lights, not enough light generate noise. For background use hdr 8k from polyhaven.com free. In the atmosphere tab, link Background to BG Environment (select equirectangular, then choose a hdr image) then link the vector from BG Environment to a Mapping node (Cycles->Vector->Mapping) in the material room for the Background, there you add those mentioned nodes. The final node is a Texture coordinate, from Cycles->Input->TextureCoordinate. Then you connect the Mapping vector to Texture Coordinate:Generated. Mapping vector type:point. This setup will give you hdr environment and lighting from your hdr image. Light is the input for all shaders, that is why hdr images used for lighting are better, they can provide billion times more accurate light for your scene; this is the shortest suggestion for now.

Looks good! Her serious attitude works with the gun and a rose for added softness. The balloon shots are fantastic!

A superb selection of pictures to celebrate this incredible Balloon Fest, thank you for sharing !

She is so gorgeous, and the entire scene is fantastic! You do these layouts so beautifully and professionally. Keep 'em coming, buddy!
Love those balloon shots as well - you're as skilled with a camera as you are with Poser!
I've not played around much with Superfly... I'll get my feet wet with it at some point. Right now, I've got too many irons in too small a fire.
