Description
…and today, my dear children, I’ll tell you the difference between ART and No Art!
Here we see a true work of art. The artiste has clicked together a character and a catching pose,
he has carefully scattered some props in the background and he has gone so far to change some textures and skillfully added some lights that bring out the figure very well.
Behold the natural pose of the neck!
On the other side we see two products of the so called „artificial intelligence“.
The prompt engineer has typed in some words - and pouf, out of the digital noise on a far away server pops this - almost by magic.
And something like that can never be art. It is done by a machine and no human being has been involved to make it appear.
This is the end of our lesson today. Go home now and swing your crayons and brushes.
Thanks for looking;)

Makes me wonder what our art master at school (back in the fifties) would have made of AI. We had powder paints, charcoal sticks, pencils and so on.

The times they are a-changing (Oh, and by the way, the fifties were not quite my time:)

My friend, I am fond of your image and the teacher's explanations! I appreciate the different poses of your pupils : so realistic!

Bonjour, Alain! But I guess, by what I have gathered, you don't like AI? Well, my first steps in that field weren't too successful. Wombo couldn't make a simple proper circle!?! But I will try again soon. And one of the first thing I'll try is Descartes in his twenties (in which I didn't succeed:) Greetings to you and Danielle! P.S I forgot to add the addresses for the two Ai-pictures by Ladylake: https://www.renderosity.com/gallery/items/3098538/its-been-a-long-day and randalthor2: https://www.renderosity.com/gallery/items/3129098/ai-girls-59 Thanks for your permissions to use these pictures!

Hum, not shure to understand the message correctly, or if it is meta-humor. I would not dare to decide, what is art, and what not simply by the label. But teach Your children well! (Hint: On what body of evidence AI was build and who created it?)
Mjrk
As far as I know it is called irony

Wonderfully done and I like the concept!

Thank you!

sweetie even though many 'choose' to believe that AI art is not 'touched' in any way by humans they will find themselves seriously wrong, firstly it was invented by humans and trained by humans in millions of styles and versions of art. secondly the artist using it can accept the basic result or work for hours on terminology and description of 'their unique' design parameters as I do to create a piece or pieces as if painted by hand. If people are going to judge then why do they accept assistance technology for the disabled without fuss? I am now legally blind and without it would have to give up on creating what is in my mind and heart without my assisted technology which happens to be AI,xx❤️ (oh and I am from the older generation and if I can embrace it even though I may be a fuddy duddy with longing for the simpler times, then I am sure others can too)

@ moogieinspace: You know I'm with you here, so I guess your comment is meant as an explanation for others, right !?
moogieinspace
yes sweetie it is meant for others xx
