they really are not coordinated at all. in the past there were so many in trees near the rail depot, I could not hear my car radio over their noise. I was there to drop a friend off for a bus ride

I agree with you 100%! They were all over the place not just as individuals but as the whole pack swooping this way and that. I was amazed I was able to get any photos at all the way they flew around.
Crazy about the noise though - they weren't too noisy in this shot but I could imagine from what you talk about that it could be deafening.
