I'm not sure how long he stayed there - I do remember taking quite a few photos and then walking by for a while and then coming back later....still there same pose - turtles can stay so still for so long it's amazing!

If I'm remembering correctly, they're one of the cold blooded species. I was thinking like them, maybe. I went back to the page about 10x, over 3 hours. Trying to figure him/her out. Had to make/save text clipboard copies. So I didn't loose the thought process. 🤔
