Yes, it's an oldie. Again.
While the management does not object to guests bringing their own environments, we would appreciate it if guests would keep them inside their own rooms.

Thanks - I think it was just a single point light (intended as the candleflame) with a non default falloff

Thank you. I think it's all in the lighting, and adding a bit of bump and/or displacement to the corridor textures to emphasise that.
