Description
This may be one of the laziest "weaver" spiders, with barely a web and little movement
other than retrieval of an errant deer fly :)
However, these Golden Orb Weaver spiders and other critters have been prolific
this year, helping to keep the endless insect population controlled.

Nice shot. The webs of these spiders are usually cool, maybe he's resting before he gives you a Grand Masterpiece.

They cast a spun thread into a breeze , and anchor after it catches another solid object ... it's interesting that there may be four or more much smaller males around her, but all seem to live in peace. I pause briefly to note that some or all vanish after she has been satisfied :)
