Description
Acrylic and Oil painting by Chuck Carlson that I had started back in the 1970's that went unfinished until January 2021. Following a trip along the North Shore of Lake Superior in Grand Marais, Minnesota where I had photographed the scene and later decided to paint with changes to the structures from the original scene. The painting went into storage due to career and family needs. In 2020 I resurrected the acrylic painting decided to rework the water, clouds and buildings in oil paint and included an old GMC pickup truck.

Very beautiful scene. Please tell me you have a nice big print of it hanging on your wall, it would be an absolute shame not to show it off whenever there's company in the house. :-)

And ... I just read your production notes. Yay, you DO have a nice big version on your wall. Painted too, not just Paintshop Pro photo. Terrific job, glad you decided to keep working on it. Favorite! :-)
