first, let me tell you just how much i love this image - the interplay of light has been so thoughtfully done, and her pose & the mood, to my eyes, feel quite authentic, as i can very easily picture myself within the image as it is, in her lovely high heels, too, i might add... heh

but for me, what i absolutely adore is the journey you've shared in regards to how you got to the image we are looking at now. i think your fixes of the screen have added so much, and i'm glad that your hard work as prompted the vendor to reconsider usage by his customers, and that he has also provided a 'fix' for what is a beautiful model. nice the vendor listened and acted upon your concerns.

i don't own this model myself, and though the vendor has provided additional materials now, i really really love the way YOUR aviary looks, and it was quite a clever fix on your part, too, i might add. should i end up buying this model at some point, i'll be nicking your idea, so please don't delete your progress images, yea?? :)).

I plan to leave my fix images up as a sort of tutorial. There was come trial and error. I had to double the UScale and VScale values in the image map box. Before that the mesh rendered uneven. Those values stretch out or compress the image before applying it to the surface. I started by applying the material from Wicked Nets. Since a building is a bit bigger than a dress it made sense to make the image bigger. I got rid of bits of the dress material that didn't apply and added the Glossy node so it would look metallic from a distance.
