Description

A new book-cover I'm workin on. I have to show it soon and am not sure about it. What do you think? It's a funny Sci-Fi-Story (a bit like Douglas Adams) - and before someone asks: No, it will not be available in English, only in German I think. It's goin about a magic Sock or so (yes, there is no Sock; I want to handpaint it over the image later, this is the Background). Please tell me if you would buy that book because ofthe cover :-)

Looks good! Definately has a bit of humor to it. I don't buy books because of the cover though. :-)

Yea, that it a funny Douglas Adams-style illustration, but I would've done something different for the title. It just looks a little too uniportant. For a book ccover, the title should SPRING in your face. Dont you think?

well, i think that a good book need a good cover too. For example, The Quijote illustrated by Gustavo Dore or by Salvador Dali. You have get a good illustration. Is it a good story too?

Hum ... yes, I think it's a good story, since Douglas Adams has finished making good books I think this is a good alternative :-) very british, I think :-))

The answer is 42! Well, I would definately read on the back! I agree with Denb on the title work though. You could go either way: you could make it very simple, or u could mess it up some more (a lot more). Some of the old horror movie posters (killer worms from the deep, or something down that road) makes some very intreresting headlines, where the perspective goes in all kinds of directions. btw, that bone planet in the bg is sooo funny... what's the name of that planet? OH, there's anotherone that's been eaten, MUHAHA! Cheers, Pingo.

uuuhhmm ... my English leaves me alone with that ... I don't understand your advices with the title ... Worms in the letters? or what ... BTW: The name of the planet is 'bone-world' - I'm sure you've never expected :-)

I don't like the background and the letters, it seems they just dont fit the image. Maybe the expression of it being a funny story could be a little stronger, ie. more cartoony. I like the concept, and the modeling is wonderful.
