Very pretty scene. Unfortunately "winter" has arrived in South Texas. It is cold tonight.

reading you and Lyla (Ladylake), I'm amazed at the temps you're getting! I just picture texas to be warm right now, but I know nothing of your state! In any case, another sweet shot of glass-like water, with a sweet view of the trees and grassses around it. I like the flat light too---this is what artists often call "northern light" (because it's typical of northern climes, where you have flat light in winter...the great dutch landscapes of the 1600-1700s have that light...flat, sleepy, gentle...very different from tropical light, for example.) A real cold weather shot---very sweet work, Richard. And it opens up, full view....

the weather here changes like a woman's mind. where I am from, I looked forward to a snow storm, because the following day would be very mild

You have captured a wonderful reflection!

Lovely, lovely nature scene. Think it would be even better, though, if there were a small boat on the water with a couple in it. Or maybe a couple swans in the water.
