Description

~Kara Zor-El~ Although Supergirl is usually depicted with her red and blue outfit, here I am using the new white crop top, hair band, and white gloves she was given on DC's New 52 era redesign, as seen in a few episodes from "Superman: The Animated Series". I think that change did make sense, but fans didn't agree with it. Let me explain - it makes no sense Kara would wear the same uniform as Superman. As opposed to men, women would rather dress something different, so the new design from the DC New 52 era made her look more unique, instead of looking like a copy of her cousin's outfit. Granted, it never made sense to fly with a miniskirt, flashing her panties to the entire Metropolis, but that was perhaps a leftover from being designed in the 1950s. I still believe this version suits her better as a girl. Nonetheless, her outfit was later reverted back to the Superman on a skirt original version due to fans backslash against the change. In either cases, Kara is still flashing her panties to the entire city. LOL Pose and camera set in Poser, rendered in Stable Diffusion, postwork in Paintshop.

Thank you! She looked great in this outfit in the Superman: The Animated Series TV show. Pity the fanbase didn't approve.

I love this Ken. I agree. Women, unless they are dressing their men similarly, like their own look. This is a really nice outfit from 52 and Kara's character should have adopted it as her more permanent look. Like the short zipper on the boot creating the signature look from Kal's boots but just different enough!

Thanks, Rich! At least DC has tried to give her a unique look, but it was very short-lived, based on the fan's protests. In Superman: The Animated Series, Kara only worn this version for a few episodes. Pity!

To make it even worse, there aren't even panty-lines visible. I don't dare say it out loud what this could mean. LOL Too many men would get a stiff neck trying to get a view! Nice render. I never knew about this alternative outfit.

LOL Oh, don't worry - she is wearing white panties matching the blouse. I took special care they don't show in the render because she's a minor. Nonetheless, it looks like she doesn't care flashing them all over the city. 😁 But I get it - miniskirts were huge on the late 1950s and early 60s, which is when Kara was designed. It's a product of her time, and I am not complaining! LOL

Indeed, this white version was very short-lived. It came from the DC New 52 era, where they have redesigned a number of things in the DC universe, and Kara (finally) got a better outfit that was unique, giving her more character. I first saw it in the "Superman: The Animated Series", and it only lasted for a few episodes before it was reset back to the old (boring) Superman copied version. What a pity. Looks like the fanbase didn't allow Kara to have her own thing.
