Sobering indeed!

I don´t really know, but this could be the best of my renders in this marathon...

For me this was a disquieting image, because what comes next?
It makes me want to insert my "Witch of the Outlands" character who tells 'em "Back off, boys....git back to your jobs and leave the girl alone." She would then escort her away to safety, but if any of the "boys" make any bad moves, she would just unleash the hell of her full fury on them. They'd pull their MP40s, but it wouldn't matter at that point.

This image is intended to trigger precisely such reactions. Good and evil are clearly divided in this scene (at least for most viewers). And the concern for the girl is completely justified. Incidentally, these attacks were not only committed by all sides during the Second World War, but have always been and still are today - as terrible as that is. The subtitle of the movie "Platoon" is: "The first victim of war is innocence!" Thank you for your comment.

Wonderful composition.
While potentially possible, chances are this particular composition is about art.
It's a fact history is written by the winners, though.. which doesn't always equate to facts..

That's true, of course, but the fact that it's usually the innocent who suffer in war is something we're currently seeing once again... And there is never a "winner"!
