Description

You walk toward the ballroom. Your heart flutters in your throat. With every step you take, your confidence dissolves. This was a mistake. He won't be happy to see you. He'll be angry. It was a one time dalliance. Nothing more. Your skin grows pale. You stop, You intend to flee. But you can't stop. The crowd is thick behind you. They sweep you into the room. As soon as you can, you break away. You melt into the shadows. You tremble for fear he will see you. As soon as you can, you will dart for the exit. But then apprehension grips you. It feels like the entire room is staring at you. But when you lift your eyes, it is him. Only him staring at you. A muffled cry strangles in your throat. You dart behind some other guest.
