Just a quick one i done in max 5. No GI, just basic scanline. I've got brazil 1, but can't quite suss out caustics. blur was done in photoshop, cause I can't wait for DOF multipasses. ! Comments appreciated. (be gentle with me :))

Looks good. The only improvement I can think of is the material of the "drink". Maby it's a little bit to much reflection. It looks a kind of hard. Otherwise a excellent image.. =)

the logic behind the noise of the ripple doesn't make sense. "random" gaps in the rings would not exist unless another ripple is over lapping the area to cancel out the wave. a better way to simulate this would be to use multiple ripple modifiers to make it look like there is noise. the drop looks cool and the over all ripple (without the added noise) looks good.
