Description
I've not the opportunity to see a purple finch before, great to see one right next to a house finch for the contrast.

They're wild so getting that close would spook them right off. I was about 20 feet away with a 600mm just about fully zoomed then cropped in as there was so much blackberry mess around in the full image you could hardly make them out. Really I was just taking these shots for later view as the colouring looked different from a distance and I wanted to know what bird it was. Didn't expect that it would turn out half decent. Still a bit to busy to be a great image.
